Daily take home Farm Binder
This binder will come home DAILY and is our main form of communication. Inside this binder you will find your child's behavior/snack calendar. Please initial this calendar everyday!
It is very important to me that your child has a meaningful Pre-kindergarten experience. In an effort to maximize our learning time, I will be stressing correct school behavior. Your child’s behavior is essential for a successful year. During the year your child will receive many positive comments about appropriate behavior. If your child has a smiley face in his/her folder, this tells you that their behavior was appropriate. However, if your child does not have a smiley face please discuss with them how they can make better choices and follow the rules in the classroom and at school.
Classroom rules are posted in my classroom as well as five different colored circles. The circles are green, blue, yellow, orange, and red. Each day your child’s clothespin will begin on the green circle. When a rule is broken, the child will move their clothespin to the next colored circle. These rules will be reviewed many times in class.
Our classroom rules are the following:
1. Listen when your teacher is talking
2. Follow directions quickly
3. Keep your hands and feet to yourself
4. Raise your hand to speak
5. Be Safe, Be Kind
Choosing to break a rule results in the following consequences:
1. Clip moved to blue - warning
2. Clip moved to yellow - Time Out
3. Clip moved to red- visit to principal’s office
